Real life chastity – TSA Security

This is a light story about my experience with airport security.

As you may already know I don’t live near Michele and Jon. They live in Texas and I live in Virginia. Michele and I do a lot of traveling to see each other and because of the distance this always involves travel by air. I don’t live with anyone, have no kids at home, no pets, and a reasonably flexible work situation so I tend to do a lot of the traveling. I like it this way because I worry a lot when Michele is traveling.

When we first started making these trips I would unlock myself using my “emergency” key before I left for the airport. If I was leaving on a weekday evening that meant I would unlock in the morning and be that way all day. I would have my Steelheart in my backpack. Once I got through security at the airport I would find a bathroom and put my cage back on.

I really don’t like the feeling of being unlocked. I especially don’t like the feeling of being unlocked without Michele being the one to do it. Chastity is a core foundation of our relationship dynamic. Not being locked in my Steelheart causes me to feel a little anxious and separate from Michele, not under her control. Of course I would never do anything that I am not allowed to do but the cage not only enforces that but it reminds me of who I belong to. That my sexual pleasure is not for me to decide, it belongs to Michele.

I also don’t like re-locking. I like being locked again but I don’t like the process. I have a fairly small cage and it takes a bit of work to get myself in to it. Once I am in it takes a while for everything to adjust back to the way it should be. Sometimes this can take hours or longer. It’s not painful, it just isn’t comfortable, it isn’t “right”. And then I would get right on a plane and sit for three hours. Not exactly the time you don’t want to be comfortable in your cage.

It didn’t take long for me to get tired of doing this. I just went and checked, it was after my fourth trip, so eight times through TSA security. I decided I was done with it and was going through with my Steelheart on. If I got pulled aside I was just going to tell them I had “semi-permanent body jewelry”. I know that many in the kink community say not to put your kinks on someone else that hasn’t consented to it. And I agree, to a point. I feel that the security checks are an invasion of my privacy and I only consent to it because it is required in order to fly. Obviously I am not going to put something in anyone’s face and would be as discrete as possible.

So off I go to the airport. I have my emergency key just in case but I am locked up tight. I am a little nervous, less than I thought I would be, but I was committed. I had TSA precheck by this point so normally I would go through the metal detectors. I knew there was pretty much no chance of that not going off but I went through anyway. They really don’t like you to go straight to the full-body scanners. I told them I had metal in my body (true but in my arm not my groin area) and they sent me to the full-body scanners. Nervously I stood in the machine with my arms over my head as they scanned my body. I stepped out and waited for the results, the screen came up green “clear”. And that was that. I went and caught my flight. About as uneventful as it gets.

Since then I have taken more than 120 more flights over three years. Most of them of them were direct non-stop so even accounting for the occasional connecting flight I have been through TSA security over 100 times with absolutely no issues. I have had a pat down at least twice. Once because they didn’t have a full-body scanner and once because something was indicated on the scan. I don’t remember where it indicated but it was not my groin but close. Luckily for me this didn’t happen until I had already made many flights so I was very comfortable going through security locked.

After a couple of months of going through security without issues I turned my emergency key over to Michele. I haven’t had an emergency key, or a need for one, for almost three years now. Apparently Michele is much stricter about security than the TSA.

I have become so used to it that I literally forget that I am locked and don’t even think about it. There is an amazing feeling of comfort in knowing that my normal of being locked in my Steelheart really is just normal. I don’t get anxious or worry about it, I can just be me.

Now there have been some fun experiences going through TSA security. I have some funny stories about the times that I did get patted down and Michele and I both have some fun experiences with “toys” that we brought with us in our carryon luggage. I will save those for another post in the future.

As always we love feedback, please leave a comment or send us an email

Listening to my Wife have Sex with her Boyfriend

  1. Hi I have also been on many flights in my cage l. Remember the first time with a metal cage I was so nervous. When it went off they scanned me with a wand and as they went over my groin it beeps again the guy just said it was my fly zip and let me pass this was in Hannover international airport.

  2. I just read the airport chastity cage post.
I too have worn my chastity cage (and even had a butt plug inserted) many times on flights and cruises with little to no trouble getting through security.
The most is they ask me to go into a room and disrobe.
I am seen openly on nude beaches, at nude resorts, and attend nude or bdsm parties where I am the nude submissive so I have no problem showing myself to anyone.
The agents are almost always professional and sometimes ask if it hurts or why or who has the key depending on their knowledge of the lifestyle.
i answer them honestly and have not had any issues.
As for checking inside my bags or packs, I have carried dildoes, butt plugs, paddles, and other sex toys with me.
if asked about any of them I simply say I love them would you like to use them on me/?They usually just smile and close up then say you’re fine.

    1. I have not had to disrobe although I offer. There was only one time where they paid any attention to the fact there was something there. I told them it was permanent body jewelry and tried to undo my pants to show them but they stopped me and sent me on. This was not in a private room. If they want to see something they can do it right there. I would resist going to a private room.

I have not worn a butt plug through security, I don’t know that I’m up for that. Did they every ask about it?

We have plenty of experience bringing things in our carry on. I’m saving that for another post someday.

      Thank you for the comment

      1. Yes, I have been asked about both my chastity cage and butt plugs.
I have been asked to disrobe and show them.
twice I was asked to bend over and show my butt plug.
I actually (without being told) took the plug out with one hand and immediately put it in my mouth. they all were shocked and said okay put it back. I did and they then actually talked to me. they asked why would I do that and what does it mean to wear these or be submissive.
i have been very open about what I have done (where, when, how, and with whom too) and I have never been humiliated, not even once.
I have to say one time was really great. I went through the detector and of course had to go be searched.
we entered the room and I asked to have 2 females present. at first they said no, but after I disrobed they went out and asked the females if they wanted to join me. they agreed and they searched me. so standing nude in front of two hot female agents with my tiny penis trying desperately to get hard and my butt hole clinching hard on that butt plug was great feeling of submission and I hope to have it happen again someday.

    2. I am glad you have had positive encounters, as well, with security during travel.

One time I was traveling with my daughter… I think she was like 18 or 19 at the time and I had a wooden paddle and short cane with me in my back pack. It got pulled and searched and, of course, the female TSA agent has to go waving it around to ask her superiors if it was OK lol. I was dying and in my head was like… Umm I have my child with me, do you mind being a bit more discreet? Finally, they were like it’s fine and she put it back in my bag but it was enough for my daughter to ask “hey mom, what is that?” and I just told her something along the lines of “you don’t want to know” or “don’t ask questions you aren’t 100% sure you want the answers to” 😂

  3. This is such an interesting post, thanks for sharing. Despite preferring small steel cages for years and years i wore a succession of plastic/3D printed ones as Owner and i travel a lot and we wanted to avoid any unwanted drama or fuss at airports safe in the knowledge that the plastic and brass barrel lock would not trigger anything and assuming that steel would.

Eventually, last summer i returned to steel after a catalogue of failures and problems with the plastic devices, opting for a steel python nub. However, we both assumed it would still trigger airport alarms and so our routine is that, post check-in i quickly head to the toilets with Owners key, unlock myself, then go through security with Her and re-lock the other side. Sometimes, i bring a plastic one just to wear for the 20 minutes or so spent clearing security. We had just assumed an alarm would be triggered, really interesting to read it has not really happened at all to you.

As for the toys, oh yes, been there and done that. Favourite was having to empty suitcase in Rome, Italy and explain its ‘interesting’ contents to an Italian border control officer in front of a line of other passengers.

    Thanks again for sharing

    1. poppet, I just got back from another trip and again no problems with the steel cage. Flights are a different story though, the weather really messed things up. At least they were cancelled before I got to the airport this time.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, we love hearing from you.
